Good Day To You,
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27
Those who have decided to follow Jesus by faith and heart desire will hear his voice. You and I can only hear one voice at a time.
It strikes me as I look at this scripture that the sheep of Jesus, the followers, are to listen to his voice and to recognize it clearly. They have chosen to make the voice of Jesus a priority in their life. For they wish to follow him. They want to know where he is leading and going. So it seems to make sense that if we’re listening to other voices as a priority, it will be difficult if not impossible to follow him. Can I ask what voices you are listening to? Are you listening to the clamor and clutter of our fallen culture and its confusion? Are you listening to the push and pull of combating social wars over the voice of Jesus? What has your ear?
Please prioritize a place where you go and listen to his Voice and reap the amazing benefits as you relate to him and know him.
Today there’s a lot being said, many voices shouting and saying “this is truth” be it in social media or via the news, Instagram, Twitter, and so forth. Let us make sure that in these days we spend time in his Word, hearing his voice, for he wants to lead us in abundant life and hope. What an amazing gift, to know that Jesus, by means of the Holy Spirit, wants to speak into your heart, lead you in a path of peace and show you what’s best for your future. What a Savior, what a journey.
Q: What person’s voice do you love to hear or miss hearing?
Q: What feeling do you have when you think that Jesus desires to speak to you, his sheep?
ps. I have designed a website that gives you a few scriptures for each day - so you can ponder and consider one scripture and settle on it so as to allow the Holy Spirit to speak his voice into your heart - click here: https://echodevotional.com/index.html
