New Guinea Goats
In my book 3 circles I tell the story of attending a wild animal park and how on the tram ride through the park came the reveal of a profound truth. The guide who was leading the tram journey and related the background of each animal habitat we passed shared something interesting about the large enclosures which was made special for the almost extinct New Guinea Goats. As the tram stopped and the guide unpacked the information about these animals, he mentioned that these goats were not happy with their beautiful and open habitat. A question came from a tram rider: “How do you know that the goats are not happy, are they not smiling all the time?” The guide responded, “Good question, no we know that they are not happy cause they have been with us for a good amount of time but have not reproduced. We need to change the habitat or something in their food.”
There it is healthy things natural reproduce, and are fruitful. Jesus said it this way…
He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain - first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. Mark 4:26-28
”All by itself the soil produces grain”…if the soil is good then the natural process of bringing forth life will happen, whenever seed is planted. So in your marriage or family, in business or your local church if the culture is healthy, if the soil of the habitat is clean and cleared of toxins, then by Gods natural law, fruitfulness will happen. If you’re not seeing fruitfulness check the habitat and diet you are allowing, you and others to live in. Choose to work the soil of your life and family, remove and pride and anger, foster grace and forgiveness, honor and prefer one another, and see life come forth in those around you. And the wonderful outcome will be that there will be plenty of “Full Kernel” seed for the next season to created an even greater harvest.
