Countless studies and surveys have revealed what the top two soul needs humans have: 1. Affirmation - Approval = Love. 2. Purpose. A simple way to say it is that at the deepest level, people are asking:

   •   “Am I loved?”

   •   “Does my life matter?”

What is consistently proven in our behavior and choices isthat if approval is not settled in you, if you are not sure you’re loved or secure, you will seek for approval and love somewhere, and this becomes your drive, your purpose. This scenario has been played out over and overas individuals without a source of affirmation look to findthis love in all kinds of places, relationships, sex, drugs, sports, business, fame, and so forth. If you are starving for approval, this then becomes your purpose. Your source of approval sets the direction of your purpose. We are left unfulfilled and unloved and encounter deeper damage due to the these hollow attempts and their inability to provide sustaining love. The entropy of the soul takes place and takes its toll. 

You have the capacity to love, so your insecurities, wounds, and driven needs must be mended. A source of love greater than ourselves is needed to bring a new source of life and love. We are all in need of acceptance, grace, forgiveness and love, to mend the soul. 

There is one source.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Christ took upon himself your sin of selfish choices and that which separates you from knowing and experiencing the love of God. He bore the punishment for those sins and now offers you access to the love your heart, soul and self has been searching for and desperately needs. Trust in Christ, cast off the shame and sin and open your life to ask and receive his love for you. I dare you to see if the love and affirmation you receive from him doesn’t change your purpose.
