Butterfly & Bee

"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" is a famous quote from the boxing legend, Mohammed Ali, describing his fighting style as one with quick agility and footwork, the butterfly, followed by powerful, unexpected knockout punches, thus the bee. 

What if someone told you that you could possess the very character, experience and training of this famous boxer. That you have the very essence of Ali in your natural body, the ability and skill of this world champion. Would it not change the way you approach life, on how you would navigate possible threats or another person’s assault? You would realize you have the means and resources to defend yourself and protect others from harm. I submit to you that if you are a follower of Christ, and are actively living under his leadership and authority. You have someone who is by far greater and more powerful against that which can do you harm. He is in residence in the very core spirit of your life. 

For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. Phil. 2:13

The spirit of almighty God is in you, gifting you with the right desires for him and for life and the power to walk out choices and acts that honor his name, accomplishing activity that he really enjoys. What we need is a greater understanding of this truth and to lean in to it more often. Would you not agree that if this be true, we need to activate this thought, and grace more readily in our lives on a daily basis. 

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. John 16:13

You and I have the Holy Spirit within by the work of grace in Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth. He will lead us to Jesus, who is the truth, and he will tell us what Jesus thinks about us and how to navigate our day.  Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.  So receive Holy Spirit today and float like a butterfly and sting like a bee, eliminating the feelings, emotions, thoughts that are not from God’s heart to you.
