They Feel So Good!

I have a pair of shoes that are some of the best, most comfortable, easy to wear shoes I’ve ever owned. They’re made by Hoka, and I look forward to wearing them. I take delight in putting them on and doing life in them. I would say I love wearing them. Not in the same way I love my wife or my family or especially Jesus. 

The Greek language defines love through several different terms: agape, (unconditional, selfless, love, eros, (passionate, romantic, love), philia (love between friends, family) and storge (love of things). 

I storge love, my Hoka shoes. 

Praise the LORD! How joyful are those who fear the LORD and delight in obeying his commands. Ps. 112:1

When you have a proper fear of the Lord and walk in yielded submission to him, you will find that naturally you delight in obeying the commands of God. You love, you delight in doing life through his commands. You realize that his ways and commands are a blessing to put on and walk out your relationships within. His command to forgive one another, it works. Don’t let the sun go down on your anger or resentment for it opens the door for the enemy, so true. Honoring and preferring one another really does benefit friendships. God’s ways work and are a delight to fulfill in our lives. Let me encourage you to get a fresh dose of the fear of the Lord. Renew your mind in the truth that He is God and you answer to him. Let that deep respect and honor settle in on you, and watch how your heart embraces delight. For those who love (agape) Jesus, will keep his commands.
